I came across this advertisement for a drawing contest organised by Reader's Digestand sponsored by Toyota. In the event some of you have time on hand during the holiday and wish to take part, do refer to the information below. All the best!

Reader's Digest is delighted to invite you or your family members to participate in an Asia-wide drawing competition, sponsored by Toyota.

We would like to invite children of the age of 15 or below, to send in their drawing of their "dream car", the car they would like to see in their future. There are two Entry Categories for the choice of one: 1) Safety and 2) Environment. Each Entry Category will then be judged in three age categories:

(1) Less than 10 years old
(2) 10-12
(3) 13-15

Many exciting prizes are being offered for the best entries, including 13 trips to Japan!

Because of the value of the prizes, it is important that each entry be accompanied by a fully completed entry form including parents' details. Entries submitted without a complete entry form cannot be accepted.

Closing date is December 31, 2008 where all entries should reach our office by the date at the following address:

2009年四年级双文化优选课程假期功课

1）自我介绍

用至少200字向老师做自我介绍（内容可包括名字、家庭人员、你的嗜好、你喜欢和讨厌的东西、你每天如何上学放学、你最喜欢的书/故事/电视节目、你对三年级的感想、你为什么想要加入双文化优选课程、你对四年级以及BiCEP的期望等等）。

把完成品存为微软文档（Microsoft Word），并在11月30日之前电邮至archerx@gmail.com。记得注明自己的姓名，不然老师不知道是谁发的电邮。

2）爱阅读，好分析

在假期里，读至少30本中文故事书，并记下它们的书名以及作者。除此之外，你得选其中6本来做读书报告。完成品在开学时交给老师。

每篇读书报告必须达到以下目标：

• 每篇读书报告至少300字。
• 清楚注明你的姓名、班级、书名以及作者。
• 读书报告必须提到故事书的内容如何精彩或人物如何吸引你。
• 学生可为读书报告进行设计或添加图案。
